Category A
Persons who intend to work as self-employed in agriculture, animal husbandry, poultry farming or fish farming in the Republic, provided that they have in their possession adequate land or permission to acquire same, they have fully and freely at their disposal capital of approximately €430,000 (CY£250,000) or such lesser sum, as the Immigration Control Committee may determine, and such an employment should not negatively affect the general economy of the Republic.

Category B
Persons who intend to work as self-employed in mining enterprises in the Republic, provided that they have in their possession a relative license that might be necessary to enable them to engage in mining research or mining business, they have fully and freely at their disposal capital of approximately €350,000 (CY£200,000) or such lesser sum, as the Immigration Control Committee may determine, and such an employment should not negatively affect the general economy of the Republic.

Category C
Persons who intend to work as self-employed in a trade or profession in the Republic, provided that they have in their possession a relative license, they have fully and freely at their disposal capital of approximately €260,000 (CY£150,000) or such lesser sum, as the Immigration Control Committee may determine, and such an employment should not affect negatively the general economy of the Republic.

Category D
Persons who intend to work as self-employed in an occupation or science in the Republic, provided that they are duly qualified to practice their profession or science in the Republic, they are in the possession of sufficient funds or secured income to enable them to give effect to this intention, for which there is a need for additional members of such profession or science in the Republic.

Category E
Persons who have been offered and intend to accept permanent employment in the Republic, which will not create undue local competition in the type of the employment in which they indent to be engaged.

Category F
Persons who possess and have fully and freely at their disposal from abroad a secured annual income of an appropriate amount to allow them a decent living in Cyprus, without having to engage in any business, trade or profession in the Republic. The annual income required should be at least €9,568 (CY£5,600) for the applicant and moreover at least €4,613 (CY£2,700) for every dependent person. This income may include pensions, dividends from shares, fixed deposits interest, rents a.s.o.
