Mr. Loucas Hadjimichael, Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry), appointed by the Public Service Commission (PSC) as Deputy Cyprus Civil Defence Commissioner from June 22, 2015.

Mr. Loucas Hadjimichael graduated from the Military Academy, the Higher School of War and the School of National Defence of Greece. He served in the General Headquarters of the National Guard from 2009 to 2012, the Department of Current Operations where he focused on natural disasters and managed the respective Plans of both the National Guard and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the last 18 months serving in the Interior Ministry, as Head of the Department of Civil Emergency Planning and Crisis Management, which conducted a study on the restructuring of Civil Defence Force and Action Plan for protection of the civilian population areas.
