Update - Voluntary Return Programme

The Cyprus Asylum Service in cooperation with the Civil Registry and Migration Department, as well as with the Immigration Department, proceeded on 29/01/2021 to the assisted voluntary return of 25 asylum applicants, in the framework of the common programme of voluntary returns being promoted. In particular 13 nationals of Nigeria, 11 nationals of Cameroon and 1 national of Congo returned back to their homeland and families.

The Asylum Service would like to remind that for those third country nationals participating in this programme, a paid flight ticket and financial incentives for their reintegration in their home country are offered. The programme is co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Republic of Cyprus.
