The first assisted voluntary return
On Wednesday, 30 December 2020, the first assisted voluntary return of a Nigerian national took place, in the framework of a programme being promoted by the Asylum Service in cooperation with the Civil Registry and Migration Department and the Immigration Department of the Police. For those third country nationals participating in this programme, a flight ticket and financial incentives for their reintegration in their home country are offered. The programme is co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Republic of Cyprus.
