• Photographic exhibition by the PIO - “Pafos, A Work of Art”

    The photographic exhibition by the Press and Information Office on “Pafos, A Work of Art” is on display until the end of September in the form of a ‘street show exhibition’, at the Pafos port seafront. The exhibition promotes the town and district of Pafos through its myths, traditions, history, religion and people and was created in collaboration with the Organisation ‘European Capital of Culture – Pafos 2017’.
  • MFA: When Turkey lifts its intervention/guarantee rights, Cyprus talks can resume

    Speaking during an intervention at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, in Brussels, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, made it clear to his counterparts that the Greek Cypriot side is ready to resume talks for a solution to the Cyprus problem from the point that convergences were achieved, but only when Turkey is willing to accept lifting its intervention and guarantee rights.
  • PoR presided over a National Council's meeting in the presence of Greek MFA

    The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, presided over a meeting of the National Council, at the Presidential Palace, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr Nikos Kotzias, which lasted for about 2.5 hours. Prior National Council's meeting, President Anastasiades and Minister Kotzias held a private meeting, which lasted for about half an hour.
  • Foreign Minister informed Ambassadors about Cyprus Conference

    Despite the G/C side’s constructive stance, the process in Crans-Montana could not move forward due to the intransigent Turkish stance on the key issue of security and guarantees, Minister Kasoulides has noted during his meetings with the Ambassadors of EU member states and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. He also conveyed the message that the G/C side remains committed to the parameters of the UN and the Secretary-General’s Good Offices.
