| The object of the project includes the study and construction of the sewage waste water networks and pipelines in the communities of Pyrgos- Parekklishia for the implementation of Directive 91/271/EEC on urban waste water. However, given that both communities have been included within the sewage boundaries of the Sewage Board of Limassol-Amathus (SBLA) their collection networks will be linked to the existing SBLA waste water treatment plants in Moni and the communities will be served by the SBLA. Already, both communities have been paying sewage fees to SBLA. The project will be implemented through at least three (3) public contracts one for the Planning Consultants and two construction ones, out of which one will be about the Pyrgos Community and the other one about the Parekklishia community network. The estimated cost for the construction of the networks is €14 million plus VAT and it expected to take for two years. The project will be implemented by SBLA while the WDD will obtain the necessary credits from GD ECDP, which corresponds to the government contribution. |

- The project is at the 1st stage of the studies. There was an initial study of the collection networks of the 2 communities, prepared in 2009 by the Consulting Office under the instruction of the Local Administration Authorities themselves, however, it was incomplete as regards the pumping stations, therefore, following the inclusion of the two communities in SBLA, it was deemed necessary that the studies are updated and supplemented with new data.
- SBLA called a tender for Planning consultants / Supervising engineers with a budget of €1.0 million. The contract was signed on 21/3/2018 for the total amount of €658.000 and it is at an initial implementation stage. |
