Seasonal employees are allowed to extend their stay in the Republic for the purpose of seasonal work, provided that the conditions of the Law, including those for maximum stay for up to 8 months within a 12-month period, are met.    

For the extension of the stay, it is required to submit an application for the renewal seasonal work permit at the application submission offices (to find out whether an appointment is needed follow this link), with the payment of the fees set by the relevant Decree of the Minister of Interior. It is noted that, the collection of biometric data is mandatory for the renewal of a temporary residence and work permit for seasonal worker as well.

The application is examined within 90 days of its submission provided that it is duly completed and all necessary documents have been submitted. Otherwise, the deadline counts from the date the missing documents have been submitted.

Stamps: employment contracts should be duly stamped. The exact amount depends on the amount of the contract and can be secured by the Tax Department.
