The first Techisland awards took place on September 7, 2023, during which the Civil Registry and Migration Department won the award in the “Game Changer” category.
This category takes into account the role played by government bodies and technocrats in developing a favorable environment for the development and progress of technology in Cyprus, through innovative policies and initiatives, their vision for the future, and their cooperation with the industry’s stakeholders.
The award was received by the Director of the Department, Ms Maria Adamidou, who thanked Techisland while expressing the Department's commitment to continue actively contributing to the collective effort for further developing and establishing Cyprus as a technological hub.
