Continuing the smooth operation of the First Reception Centre (FRC) of Pournara in Kokkinotrimithia, by providing support management and security/surveillance services, as well as by providing interpreting services to the residents, is the main objective of the project titled “Support to the First Reception Centre (FRC) of Pournara”.

The Grant Agreement for the project implementation was signed on 5 April 2024 between the European Funds Unit of the Ministry of Interior, as the Managing Authority of the Home Affairs Funds, and the Asylum Service, as the Beneficiary of the project.

The project is implemented with the joint financing of the European Union (within the framework of the Instrument for Financial Support for Border Management and Visa Policy) and the Republic of Cyprus.
