European Funds Unit

EU Competitive Programmes are funded directly from the European Union budget and aim to contribute to the implementation of EU policies. Most of these Programmes are transnational, which means that partners from more than one Member State must submit and implement a Programme. Proposals are submitted for approval directly to the European Commission, without the intervention of Member State bodies. Proposals submitted compete with proposals from other Member States. Successful proposals are selected after a comparative evaluation of all submitted proposals.
