Overview Procedure Procedure There are two procedures for Civil Marriage. 2. Normal procedure (Notice of Marriage) – 128 € In this case the couple will sign the notice of Marriage and can get married after 15 days from the day of their application but not later than 3 months. 3. Special License Procedure – 281 € If the couple has a special reason for marrying early, it will follow the Special procedure whereby they can get married the same day of their application or less than fifteen days. In this case, is better to make an appointment with the Municipality. During the ceremony 2 witnesses are required to be present, bringing their ID card (Cypriots) or Passports (foreigners). The marriage is celebrated in Greek or English. The ceremony is very simple and takes about 15 minutes. After the celebration of marriage, the couple, the witnesses and the Marriage Officer signs the certificates and we give to the couple 1 original certificate of marriage. For certified true copy of the Certificate of Marriage the couple must apply at the Civil Marriage Office of the Municipality. Usually the fees for the above procedures of civil marriage are as follows: Special License Procedure: € 281 Normal procedure (Notice of marriage): € 128 Extra fees Certified true copy of certificate of marriage: €13 per copy Copy of any other document from our archive: € 17 4.
