Assistance Services 1. Overview 1. Overview The death of a person who died in Cyprus is recorded by the Registrar of the district in which the person died. A death certificate is issued on the day on which the death certificate is entered in the Register of Deaths. A death certificate can be obtained from any District Administration, regardless of the district in which the person died, by completing the necessary form and presenting the original medical death certificate. A fee of EUR 5 is payable for each certificate. The statutory fee payable if the death is registered after a period of 1 year has expired is EUR 30. 2. Prerequisites 3.
